Woot!

Hey guys! Well I finally responded to afore mentioned email, you see.
Drama Nerds!
Well, tonight I saw Legally Blonde the Musical
It was okay, I suppose. I missed like...the first hour maybe, I'm not sure.
It was really self-driven, self-motivated. That can be a good thing, or it can't. Either way. I suppose it depends on the mood of the audience...

Hmmm. Interesting. I've never seen it, myself. Where did you see it?

I saw it also (on MTV). I thought it just proved that you CAN'T turn any movie into a musical - especially a shallow one about a blonde ditz hoping to win the heart of a law student. i though they could have done a much better job. The lyrics were so one dimensional and shallow! Whoever wrote them...tsk tsk. But i did like the song Is He Gay or European? Haha...that was funny. But still stupid.

Well, I thought they did pretty good. Granted, like I said I missed the first bit and I've never seen the movie. I think that's the point, though. Like, the shallowness and all. The ending maybe though I agree with you. She possibly should have grown out of her shallowness by then, but I did think it was cool having the same title and credits songs (with revisions, like one was a reprise.) The song Chip on My Shoulder was...interesting. I thought it was clever, but it seemed a little repetitive by the end- how many "hell"s did they throw in??? Also, I mean, it's like your whole driving force they claimed should be revenge for... whatever you didn't like. See, she didn't like it when they laughed at her, and her whole reason for doing good at Harvard then was to show them up. He didn't like growing up with bums so he wanted to prove to the world he could be better than that. Interesting motivation, if you ask me. At least they had some! haha
The thing that (well of course this made the happy ending, but) I found wierdest I guess was that they did it. They all succeeded (except for what's-his-face...was it Walton or something?). I mean, they did it on their own. But we can't. Happy ending? Or unattainable success?
you decide...
